I've started the Summer of Pictures challenge a little earlier than the July 4th start date, so I've been making an effort to go out shooting and post up at least one photo a day (see my Flickr album)

Thinking of places to photograph actually had a side benefit of giving me a great idea for date night with my wife tonight: we decided to head to downtown historic Clinton. Took a nice walk around, visited the Hunteron Art Museum, and had a nice dinner topped off with some more touring of the town at sunset.

    Some pics from the trip:

This one I took just for the Mu-43.com folks, I called it the Automatic Moire Inducer

This one I couldn't decide which PP version I liked better. Opinions either way?

The famous old mill (now a museum) in downtown Clinton. This is basically the town's icon and pictures, postcards, and paintings of it abound in local businesses and shops.

I really enjoyed your pictures. Very nice all of them.

PS: I prefer the first B&W.

Your pictures are really sharp. Which camera and lenses?

Thanks, I am leaning toward the first, darker version of the B&W myself.

All the shots were on a G3 paired with either the Panasonic 14-140 or Voigtlander 25mm. EXIF lens data is available for each of the shots on flickr if you're interested in a specific one, but the majority of my 'keepers' came from the 25mm.

Looks like a place full of subjects to shoot! My favorites are the white flowers and the dam.

I too prefer the darker version of the stair shot.

Thanks s0nus, it is indeed a place full of interesting subjects! I was thinking even as we were leaving that I'd like to go back and do this again sometime soon

Jay, brings back some nice memories! I'm sure I have some prints (from film) of the old mill in my archives One of our favorite weekend destinations 30 years ago, along with Flemington, Lambertville, and New Hope.

    Great set of photos!

Very cool Chuck! You should scan in your prints, we could see how the old mill looks then and now.

Flemington is one town over from me... come to think of it that'd be a great spot for next week's date night out. It's win/win - I get a good photo walkaround opportunity, and my wife gets to pick a new restaurant to try
