I tried to find a manual on the getolympus.com site and couldn’t find a link to downloadable manuals. They only had an option to order a printed manual, sending you to a third-party site where they’ll charge you for the manual. They previously had downloadable manuals available on their support page. WDH?

I found downloadable manuals here.

BTW, if I enter getolympus.com in the address bar, it sends me to some bozo website (Magento.com). I have to get to getolympus by using search. :-O

Be careful using a search engine trying to find manuals. I have been sent to bogus websites that get flagged as malicious when searching for manuals. Of course, sometimes the malicious flag is bogus, but I seldom get it except searching for manuals. So make sure any link it finds looks legit. Fortunately, Olympus has used the same corporate name and website name for many years, so you can tell a fake when you see it.

Well this is what I get at the bottom of the page at Olympus .com/ca.

* Printed copies of product manuals for select products are available for a charge through our print partner, Lehigh Print & Data. Please note, this is a service provided by a third-party. OM Digital Solutions is not responsible for any transactions made through this service.

I think that's pretty sleazy.

I am not having this problem. I go to Support, select my camera, and there is a Download the Manual option (at least for E-M5iii and E-M1iii, both of which I tried).

I tried both of those and https://www.getolympus.com. They all went to magento.com. However, they seem to have fixed that. Now it goes to Getolympus whether you use getolympus.com, www.getolympus.com, or https://www.getolympus.com, which is the way the URL resolves when you reach the site.

In any case, the big gray Manuals link on the https://learnandsupport.getolympus.com/support page goes to the printed manuals vendor. Downloadable manuals are still available if you drill down through Choose your product or at https://cs.olympus-imaging.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/manual/

Yes, the URLs now work normally for me too.

That "Printed Product Manuals" link is clearly not for downloads, but they probably should also make one page for download of all manuals, or state clearly that the download links for them are from each individual product page, to avoid confusion.

This thread reminded me to download and read the E-M1 II manual. After 19 months I still don't really know how to use the camera, and I still get confused and forget about certain things. Now that I have a tablet, it will be more convenient to read, I don't have to sit at the computer at anymore. I still wish they would include full printed manuals in the box with a $1600 CAD camera instead of trying to save $5 or $10 or whatever it costs to print a manual.

IIRC, that big gray link for manuals used to go to a page where you could select downloadable manuals. Not anymore. You can still find them, but you gotta know where to dig.

Yes, that works, but you can’t get there from www.getolympus.com. Keeps sending me to a 404 error page on magento.com.

There used to be a link to Manuals on the bottom of the getolympus page. Not there any more.

Better bookmark that learn and support page.
Go to camera's page, e.g.:
https://www.getolympus.com/us/en/digitalcameras/omd/om-d-e-m1-mark-iii.html
Click on Support and it leads to a page with links to download the manual.
