Pentax 300mm f6.3 Takumar Preset Lens.

Donate $50 to Mu-43.com ($60 if not US/Canada) and this interesting little lens could be yours. Price includes shipping. Feel free to donate more!

Price also includes a Pentax screw mount adapter for m43!

One caveat - the front coating is uneven, possibly from cleaning. You can see some of it in the picture. It actually looks better in the photo. I am not certain what effect it may or may not have on images.

I would have put this out at $100+ if it was perfect. If you factor in the adapter and shipping the lens itself is only $20-$25.

Otherwise the rest of the glass looks clean and clear (a few dust specs), focus is smooth and the diaphragm is clean (and almost round!) You can see there is some normal wear and tear on a lens this old. Includes front and rear caps (including the adapter).

Once the donation is confirmed by the admins I will ship the lens off (ground). If overseas it may take a couple of weeks.

    First donation wins.

Sorry. It's one of those things, when I'm thinking "I'm having fun here, maybe I should donate something..." and "I miss my 70-300 sometimes, should get an old 300mm or should I not..." and then, WHAM! Narnian's post. I guess the providence says yes to both :dance3:

It certainly does sound like you were the one to have it!

I am not much of a wildlife person, but we have a dam and a lake just 1/4 mile from me, with lots of birds, and I keep thinking how relaxing it would be to get an old MF lens with a tripod mount and just spend some time down there. I'll have to keep looking!

I just noticed there is no donate option in the mu-43 iPad app. Or none that I can find.

Zettapixel, PM me your address and once Amin can confirm the donation I will ship it off. May sure you use the green Donate button on the web page.

Just following your example, Alan. ;)

Many thanks to Richard and Roman both for your support. It is very much appreciated!

maybe he felt his donation should reflect the physical size of that beautiful beast.

Now does anyone have a crazy 500mm mirror lens to offer?!?
