Looking to buy the new Oly 25mm off of ebay from a Japan retailer. Seller says it is the Japan model and further states "This Lens is a Japanese domestic version. There is no functional difference between Japanese and international version."

Is there a compatibility problem between say an American market camera body and a lens made for the Japanese market? Don't believe I have ever seen a retailer make such a statement. Always assumed compatibility would not be an issue.

    Thanks.

No, but depending on manufacturer there may be warrantee issues (not so for Olympus, which has global warrantee, but Panasonic does not I believe) and the documentation may all be in Japanese.
