Does the Voightlander style lens hood interfere w/ AF assist?

does it matter?

I haven't tried this combination, but as far as I'm aware the AF Assist light is only needed in very low light conditions, in which case you probably wouldn't be needing a hood? In any case you can switch the AF assist off.

I've got a hood like that for my GF-1, no probs with the AF focus assist light in darker places.

why would you want a vented hood?

heavystar has lens shades ( for a 'standard lens') that stick straight out that work and look fine.

It just looks cool and I am pretending that I have a Voigtlander (either a Color Skopar or Nokton 50/1.1 behind the shade and I'm using a M9 ;-)
