Does GX85 IBIS stabilize the VF/LCD image prior to shutter release?

One feature of Oly IBIS that I prefer over my GX7 was the ability to stabilize the VF image, while the GX7 with non OIS lenses engaged IBIS only when the shutter was released. Does the GX85 behave like Olympus IBIS in this regard?

Yes, it does stabilize the live view feed. Once you half-press the shutter button, the image on the screen becomes eerily steady.

Does the GX8 behave the same way?

No, it does not because it has an older IBIS module.
