I really needed a larger monitor for looking at detailed floor plans and decided to get one that would be good for photo editing. I pulled the trigger today and should have my new Samsung S32D850T by sometime Tuesday.
One of the things I've read with this type of monitor is that you need to locate it at least 36" (92cm) from your eyes to prevent banding and other artifacts. Has anyone experienced this issue with large, high resolution monitors and how bad was it? I'm trying to decide whether I need to move some furniture around my office so it can be properly placed.

Have the monitor home and installed, but my motherboard won't support 2560 x 1440 native resolution. Going to talk to the guys that built my PC 5 years ago and see if there's some way I can use an outboard video card. Nonetheless, image quality rocks. I have visual proof before my eyes that M43 has sufficient resolution for damned near anything as long as it's shot at under ISO 1600 or so, and not underexposed.
