Does 20mm do macro?

    Sorry but I'm new to this site and it appears that I've put this in the wrong section. I'll look in the lens section.

    No, that lens only focuses to about 8 inches. You can get closer with some auxiliary close up filters, but this is not true macro.

    When using the 20mm lens does using some auxiliary close up filters allow the auto focus to continue?

    Anyone have any experience using close up filters?

    I have a set of three filters and yes you can auto focus with them. They usually come in sets labelled +1, +2, +3 or +4 and you can stack them to get up to +6 or +7. I believe the + numbers are diopters. In any event they are pretty easy to use and not very expensive. The only down side is you will get a slight bit of softening around the edges of your image when you use them.

    I use a close up lens/filter. I have not found any softening at the edges of the frame. But I do not stack them.
