I'm a huge fan of hers (and this story). Unfortunately, I'm in the States and will have to wait and/or find another means to watch this.... but thanks for the heads-up!

The story is so interesting that she has attracted much attention. In her case, however, the photography quickly trumps the story. I simply find so many of her images pleasing. She also provides a wonderful view of Chicago during that time in history. Twin lens reflex, maybe a single focal length the whole time. I wonder what became of the camera?

I watched it and it was a great documentary, she captured some stunning images and was a real master of the Rolleiflex.

Just watched this excellent documentary and can certainly recommend it. A curious mixture of inspiration and sadness.

I realize this thread is old, but someone posted something about her last week....and I was impressed...I went to see the movie last night after seeing it was showing locally. Good film. Better than I expected and great photography. If you are a fan of photography, I recommend it (even if street isn't your thing...wasn't mine really).

Apparently she was still shooting long into the 70s and 80s, but since her finances were limited, there are rolls still left to be seen.

Ted Forbes recently did a review of her life and work on his YouTube channel 'The Art of Photography' that raises some interesting questions.
