Do OP/TECH UniLoop connectors require D-rings?

    Yes, they will. I use 'em on my EPL-2, G2, E-5 and E-620 and used 'em on my OM-D when I had that. Makes carrying options for your camera very flexible.

    EDIT to clarify... You'll still have to use the little triangle-shaped metal/plastic wrapped eyelets that Olympus attaches to the camera-mounted strap lugs (those round silver nubs that do not remove from the camera). Just fit the OpTech connectors through those Olympus eyelets instead of the Olympus-supplied strap. Sometimes it can seem like a tight fit looping the plastic part of the OpTech connector back through the fabric loop, but it can be done.

    Hello,

    I called our store and had a floor manager check a few Oly and Panny mirror less cameras on display. None required D-rings. We did not have an EM5 available but I see no reason why it would be different than the models we had available for testing.
