is there a way to show the focusing distance on GX1?
I guess there is none or nobody understood the question
It isn't possible, which is a shame.
You mean in the AF mode ?
They call it MF Guide, so seems like it's not intended for auto focus
not specifically but it would be useful for the AF+MF mode ...
i was just looking for a way to tell me how far the focus have locked in, mostly for hyper-focal distance.
for example, when I use my Nikon SLR before, there are markings for the hyperfocal distance on the lens barrel based on the aperture. I like using that to set my focus when shooting on a busy street or a party where manual focusing might not be fast enough. That way I know from which distance I can have a subject in without having to re-focus all the time.
You would think they could do it with a firmware update, it is a pity the mu 4/3 stuff doesn't have such
The E-PL3 shows the focused distance in the exif. The GX1 does not. What gives?
