I know there has been a lot of discussion on the grip provided for the Olympus OMD-E-M5. I had one on order immediately after I had a hands on with it and ordered the camera. The camera came 3 weeks ago with the grip backordered. Got it today from Camerland (thanks Mark and Joel) and I must say although I could certainly "live" with the camera on it's own, and it certainly is more stealth and portable, having the grip on gives me so many more ways to hold and keep it stable. I love the extra controls it provides and I easily slip a battery in the grip instead of being annoyed at taking it off to put in the body. The build is so solid as a rock like that it is a pure joy to use. I was used to so many years of DSLR's with grips that this is NO burden at all and for my smaller hands it's a natural fit. It was certainly worth every cent to have it, and for me anyway I'm glad I got it. It will rarely come off that's for sure.
