I looked up on ebay and there are two different Takumar 135/3.5 lens available. First one is the Super Takumar 135/3.5 and the other one is the SMC Takumar 135/3.5. What are their main difference and which one is supposed to be the better lens to get? Thanks

Hi, SMC stands for Super Multi Coated.
SMC lenses are newer, and usually better.

However, sometimes other changes are made as well, such as the aperture blade designs in the 50mm f1.4 lenses.

It's best to read the lens database on PentaxForums for details on specific lens versions.

There's also an f2.5 135mm (about same size, but heavier):

BTW, I sold all my (dad's) Takumar lenses as I found most of them to be very soft (compared to native mu-43 lenses) and a couple had bad CA. I made enough selling everything to pay for the Oly 40-150mm Pro and MC-14. If I didn't already have the Oly 45mm and 35mm ZD Macro, I probably would have kept the 50mm's (Macro, 1.4 Super, and 1.4 SMC) though, and maybe the 35mm.

    I didn't have the 135mm so I can't speak for it.
