    I passed this lake on a recent road trip and was able to jump out and snap a few shots despite the constant rain thanks my weather sealed E-M5 and 12-40mmPRO. It is a very eerie place and the misty clouds only added to the creepy atmosphere. I believe this is a manmade lake created by the Detroit Dam and I suppose all the trees that would have been under the shoreline were clearcut back in the 1950's. In the winter, when the water is low, all the eroded stumps create an ominous landscape as if they were countless strange creatures clamoring for their place on the shore. Too weird not to share:
