I was looking at the VF4 and wondered if it would also work with the EM5.... Just for the heck of it I tried it. It does work, but it's pretty much redundant

After the E-M1 was announced but before release I met someone at Balboa park with an E-P5 mounted to the 4/3 35-100 f2 (talk about a phallic lens on a tiny body!) and he let met demo the VF-4 on my OM-D... it is much better than the E-M5's VF, especially for a glasses wearer like myself.

It's so 2 people can share in the photography experience. You even have the grip mounted for the extra shutter button...

Well, two photographers and one camera. But they have to be very small to use the viewfinders simultaneously.... That is if there is a way to make them both (VFs) function at once

Well, it's useful for low level shots with sunlight.

True. There's a pro on a landscape forum who uses his OM-D with a VF4 and recommends using it that way. If you flip it up, you look down into the camera, as you might with certain medium format camera finders. An interesting way to work!

I love it! I've always wanted to try doing this but I've never had a chance. Thank you for making my silly dream a reality.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually noticed that taking photos outdoors in sunlight was not too easy without the VF4 on my EP5.... I was actually considering selling the VF4 and using the EP5 without it until I left it behind and had to shoot without it.
It also seemed to make it easier to see out of the EM5, although it does seem pretty silly at first glance when you consider the extra viewfinder.....
