Spent last week end discovering Arches National Park. We started with the hike to the Delicate Arch. The hike was 1.5 mile one way under 105ºF and according to my phone elevation change of 40 stories was quite tough. During the whole hike you cannot see the arch because it's on the other side of the hill. Once you get to the top you can kind of look down and see the arch below and what a sight

Well done, and you did it right by not leveling the sandstone layers. The whole feature leans. I’ve only been there once many years ago, but it is a spectacular site to see. You were quite fortunate to get a unique weather even in the Utah desert at the time of your visit.

Thank you Randy...yes, it was hard to find good spot to properly setup gears since everything was in a slope...the hike back down in the dark was tricky as well.

Wow, great shots. Sounds like an arduous hike, but it was worth it. Thanks!

I was just thinking that you must have hiked back in the dark. Considering how steep it was ascending, it must have been hairy going back down. A good headlamp would have been a must. Glad you made it safely!

The hike was pretty hard under the scorching sun (105ºF)

Yes we had great headlamp which made it easy but still tricky because of the steep slope and sand

Thank you Walter

Brilliant images, Nam! You have an amazing eye (and pretty good timing, as well!)
