Tested my Edmund Optics 8.5mm lens and B+W 093 infrared filter, on some tree stumps. F1.3 for focusing; F8 for shooting. All shots: 6mega pixels.
Also, an array of stone stumps, not often walked over.

So, how do you like the lens?

    Any vignetting? CA?

    You have the C-Mount version?

    Thanks,
    Barry

It's very well made, strong build, has a filter thread. Had to use 2X digital zoom, to avoid vignetting. Yes, C-mount.
Haven't tested it in direct Sun, just this Monday's gloom. It's the only very short/wide-angle lens I've got, at the moment. Got some cheap 25mm lenses, they were my shortest before this 8.5mm/17mm.
    Cheers.

Here's a colour/color mix version. As a mainly UV-man, I've made it look a bit that way, even though it's shot in IR.
