    I think my strategy going forward with SD cards is to never reuse them. Retrieve the pictures, then put the card in a safety deposit box as a backup. Last time I looked, high speed 8GB SD cards purchased in a multi-pack were about $5 each. Perhaps I'm a bit paranoid about data loss.

    @onewheeltom@onewheeltom, fine but realize flash memory can 'forget' data after sitting idle a few years, so make sure it's not your only backup strategy.

    Forget this deal, it's gone - put my name on the B&H notify when in stock list, and just got an email telling me the item has been discontinued.
