I hadn't visited this small seaside resort in 35 years and having some rail vouchers to use up decided it was time to reacquaint myself.

    1. The ferry that links the mainland to the Isle of Cumbrae.

    2. The Pencil (Built in 1912 to commemorate the Battle of Largs 1263, when the Scots defeated King Haco of Norway's troops after the 160 long ships got caught in a storm.

3.Local beach (not as sandy as ones further down the coast).

    4. An unexpected fly-by at the putting green.

    5. Nardini's Cafe (opened in 1935 and probably Scotland's most famous ice cream parlour).

    6. My ice cream sundae (Was it worth the 35 year wait? Hell, yes! Although I had to pass on the delicious wafers as I'm coeliac these days).

    7. View of the town from the top of the hill (had to work off the ice cream somehow).
