    hello members, new here

I'm wondering, what's the main difference between those two version of the panasonic 25mm 1.4 m43 lenses?, other than the prices

What's the streetprice for used 1 year old DG lens

The D lens is for four thirds DSLRs, the DG for Micro 4/3. The D lens won't work on an m43 camera without an adapter, and will focus much more slowly than the DG lens.

Right now, Amazon has new for $330 (just got lowered). Most sales here recently have it at around $300. YMMV

Edited. Price above is for 20mm, not 25mm. Sorry, read wrong thing.

I think your mistaken, the 4/3 version is more like $700-$800 used.

$330 is the Amazon price for the 20/1.7. The used prices I've seen here on the forum for the 25/1.4 are around $450. $350 seems like a very good price to me. If I had the cash I'd jump at an opportunity like that!

The cheapest I've seen new is $499.

Used prices on these lenses usually don't drop very far from new. If you can get a good used one for $350 I'd jump on it. I'd be surprised if you find one for less than about $450.

New prices also fluctuate, its currently $499 but can be as high as $599 with limited availability. I would pick one up now since prices can go up again which will of course raise used prices.

That would be a good deal. I've seen nothing for less than $425, and even that's rare.

Right, it's also bigger and a lot heavier (more than 2x).

sorry people if I was talking unclear

I was just guessing what would be fair, 350 was just something into the air. For now I see 350 is far to low even though it's used one, 400$ is much more real

For quite a while it was nearly impossible to find the m4/3 25mm in stock and prices were very high. Now it seems to be easier to find new in the $500-600 range, used for about $500. I have hardly ever seen much of a discount on the 25mm below $500, because sellers don't need to discount it in order to make the sale. Perhaps that will change over the next 6-12 months if supply remains steady and there are more used lenses on the market.
