I am brand new (here) :) and I want to learn how to seriously customize the GX7.
I want to understand in full how to conjugate / articulate settings so I can get the most out of the camera.
For example: I saw this video here and it added something to me.
I want to learn more. Not trivial descriptions of settings but inter-relations between them !
Now, I want to buy a book about these kind of settings to play around and - as I said - get the most out of the camera. Thank you ! :)

David Thorpe has a book about the GX7 menu system. Not great, but a good start. Look on Amazon.co.uk.

    Thank you Big Tam !
David Thorpe. David Knight is also an option, for example...

Do you have any ? How do you feel about them ?
    Thank you ! :)

I bought David Thorpes book, it helped me to sort out the Panasonic menu system (I had an Olympus EM-5 before.) But it didn't go into any depth, so was only useful as a starting point.

Thank you Big Tam ! :)
That is an important info. I would like rather something more in depth. For the basics, the instruction manual is enough, perhaps.
    What do you think ?

Perhaps Jeff you mean this one.
At this sight it looks as kind of "descriptive type" only. I will have a look though.
It is the combination of setting I am looking for so I can customize the C buttons according to circumstances.

Welcome to the club ! :drinks:
The other day I have used the Oly 5 II and I found the menu to be very clear, hierarchized and customizable.
But I am on Panasonic GX7 which I find to be more pleasant to use than the Oly.
And you ? What do you think about this ?
I have two Zeiss lenses whicha re great. Just great !

I had an Olympus E-M5. I really wanted the PL 15mm f1.7, and I bought one on a German forum, but it came with the GX7. I intended to sell the GX7, but I really enjoyed using it, so I sold the Olympus instead .

Then I realized my Olympus lenses had no OIS, so I gradually switched to Panasonic lenses. And then I wanted the 12-32, but it came with the GM5. Kept the GM5 as a great second body, and later sold the 12-32 to help finance the PL 25mm f1.4 .

Only good thing is, I've bought no new bodies or lenses for nearly a year now...

Obrigado pm. It is a much useful help. :2thumbs:
In fact, I prefer to read in English but sometimes - when my knowledge of this language fails - I read in Portuguese.
I do have my camera in English, you know... :shakehead:
