I travelled to Croatia in the recent Easter break, visited Split, Korcula and Dubrovnik; the country is so beautiful and beyond my expectation. The country is very touristy, hence, sometimes it is hard to capture a real local story.

For the journey, I took my PEN-F, 12-40 f2.8pro, and also 25, 45 and 75 f1.8 primes; during the Easter night at Korcula island, I was a bit frustrated with the auto-focus and low light capability of the camera, as I had to shoot moving object (where the C-AF is absolutely useless on PEN-F) and also super low light (where I had to get my ISO to 3200); and after the journey, I sold the 17 and 25 f1.8 and bought Mitakon 25mm f0.95 instead to make the low light gap. (the Olympus 1.2 lens is just too big and heavy for my PEN-F).

Anyway, followings are the pictures I would like to share, c&c are more than welcomed, some of the photos were edited in LR mobile when I was on the move, some were edited in Mac later, some were straight out of camera.

The Pen-F and the 12-40 f2.8 are a great combination for travel, although they probably are not meant to be together. I visited Istria and the islands Cres, Krk, Losinj and Rab in May 2017. The weather was great and the crowds were still small. Unfortunately Dubrovnik seems to be a lost cause nowadays.

    Agreed, the body felt slightly
unbalanced, but it’s not massive deal; when I bought my 75mm f1.8, I was also considering the 40-150 f2.8; but the size of it defeated the whole purpose of switching to m43 at the first place.

I haven’t been to other places in Croatia yet, but feel Dubrovnik is quite touristy now; I visited Mostar as a one day trip, the place becomes the victim of its own fame, it reminded me of visiting China mainland during the golden week, lol.
