Anyone know anything about this lens? I picked it up real cheap ($8) and was gonna use it for some reversed macro stuff with my Nikon DSLR. Didn't care much about brand or IQ since I was gonna reverse it anyway.

But after I picked up an Oly E-PL2, I thought why not get an FD adapter to play around with it right side up, and to my surprise, I'm getting some real decent pics, at least to my inexperienced eyes.

Mine is an FD mount but I think there's also a Pentax mount version out there. Anyone familiar with this lens? who makes it and so forth?

CPC, Cosmicar are Pentax designed and made by the CCTV division. They don't have the SMC coating but have a coating from the CCTV. Pretty good lenses, I've been using the 35 to 70 /f4 for years and getting great results. They go cheap because most folks are looking for the SMC coating or don't know what's being sold.
