Had a friend come down from Darwin, Northern Territory for a few days.

We stood on his balcony overlooking Glenelg Beach, having a few beers on a perfect balmy summer evening.

He said he was talking to a guy interstate who commented how we Adelaidians never spread our wings and travel..."They're so insular"...

My reply was " Yeh we could go to Sydney or Melbourne, Queensland or Bali...But it's not as good as here!

We went into town to catch a comedy show at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, which is on for a few weeks at this time every year. It brings together an eclectic bunch of music and performing arts, comedy, cabaret, street performers etc. from all over the world.

It was getting pretty late on a Tuesday Night by the time I took these, so things were winding down.

I'm a signwriter myself, so I particularly like these hand painted canvas banners

Finally we had the last ride for the night on the "Kamikaze!"

Used the EPL2 with Panny 20 at the Fringe, with some help from Topaz Adjust.

Thanks for all the nice replies guys.
I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment.

I'm grateful to be able to have such interesting subject matter to show you.
All I did was capture it at the right time!

Of course, the processing certainly helped the night shots in the showgrounds.
I used Topaz Adjust to boost the details & contrast & colours.
Once I'd set it to how I liked it for one pic, I just used the same setting for the rest. Pretty good plugin for the price.

    Here's a before & after showing sooc E-PL2 with Panny 20mm at f/1.7 iso 640

    And after Topaz Adjust filter:

I am intrigued by your images and your city. What are the seasons like? You guys are in summer now and it seems very mild. How nice is your nice city?
