I built following lens portfolio which is cheap & fulfill most of the needs

wide - kit lens - 14-42 is pretty good at lower FL
    Regular - Kiron 28mm F/2 @ $60 in Minolta
    Minolta MD or MC 50mm (many options in 50mm 1.4-1.8 at $15-20) - $20
    Helios 44 58mm f/2 - best lens for Portraits & very cheap ($15-20)

So in less than $100 in addition to the kit lens you have a fairly decent old prime lens kit.

I applaude you for getting three lenses for under $100. Having simple choices is often how some of our most creative work is done. Please post some samples from your lenses it would be great to see how they render images.

Well done ! You've clearly thought through the matter of auxillary lenses and realised that there's a lot of very useable old glass out there.

You, wisely, do not believe everything that the marketing folk tell you.

Good job! I've also bought several adapted lenses for under the $50 price point. I have about 10. You can also get native m43s lenses for good prices: Panasonic 12-42 II (sharper than my Oly) is like $130, Sigma 30/2.8 is $30, Oly 40-150 goes for $99 at times, 14/2.5 can be found under $200, and some of us got the Samyang 7mm fisheye for $200 last month!

Next, I recommend looking at many of the numerous sharp 135/3.5 lenses out there. They're right in our price range! :)

    tjdean01 - I find using above 75mm difficult in focusing & handling size in m4/3 ...
