Just spent a few days camping in the far north of the Coromandel peninsula, NZ. Both pics taken with GF1+20mm+GND filter and polarizer.

    DMC-GF1    ---    20mm    f/5.6    1/250s    ISO 100

    DMC-GF1    ---    20mm    f/5.6    1/800s    ISO 100

I love the 20mm, but I'm really being drawn to having something wider. I'm wondering if the 14mm would ultimately be unsatisfying, and if would be better just to go for the (3x more expensive here) 9-18mm.

Nice. You've got me missing NZ now and it's too late to buy a lotto ticket

The 14 will be a good bit wider than the 20 and a noticeable difference but the 9-18 (or the 7-14 if your lottery nos come up) will get you into the world of ultra wide.
