took a good tip from a forum member here and awoke before dawn and got a taxi to Coogee Beach, where I setup my tripod and took these two shots as the sun rose. I later walked up the beach to Bondi and then on many streets to Watsons Bay and took the ferry back to Circular Quay. An exhausting but wonderful day.

What a great place to live. I much preferred the walk from Coogee to Bondi than Bondi to Watsons Bay. I found the environment around Watsons Bay to be stuffy and lonely. Beautiful homes surrounded by walls with no one on the streets.

Yep - that's the consensus. I usually do that walk once or twice a year, to bondi and back. With luck, migrating humpbacks, or perhaps even a fur seal or two will make an appearance.

Lovely stuff mate. Is the horizon a bit off on the second one?

A flashback of my all too short 1997 assignment in Oz. Such a great place!
