    The theme of the contest is: Structure

    1st Prize: - 24x36 print on canvas Visual Magnetics Material (value $170.00)

    2nd Prize: 18x24 Print same material. (value $140.00)

    It will be printed and shipped anywhere in the world for free.

    To understand the material you'll have to look at the web site videos:

    Contest Rules:

    • [*]Participants must be registered members who have made no fewer than 3 posts here at
      [*]You may enter a photo now and post later, but both the contest entry and the 3 qualifying posts must be made prior to midnight (GMT) on July 30, 2011.
      [*]Only one contest entry per person.
      [*]You may only enter a photograph which you yourself have made.
      [*]The entry photo must be taken with a Micro Four Thirds camera, and EXIF data must be intact so that this can be verified.
      [*]Maximum photo dimension should not exceed 1024 pixels.
      [*]The photo may have been taken at any time, not necessarily during the month of the contest.
      [*]Moderators at and and their families are ineligible.

      [*]To enter, simply post a photograph in this thread. HTML and code are enabled to make posting as easy as possible.
      [*][I]Visual Magnetics would retain the rights to use the Winning images in an advertisement for their own product if they so choose. It will not be distributed to others, or for any other use. Other than that you continue to hold all rights reserved with respect to copyright of your image.[/I]
      [*][I]An entry in the contest will be considered as granting a limited rights approval upon winning. If you are not willing to allow your winning image to be used at the company HQ, trade show booth etc. Please do not enter.[/I]
      The contest winner will be determined by member vote (poll). Voting will begin on July 28, 2011 and end after 7 days.

      I will open an FTP account on my own server so that the full size finished file can be sent in for printing upon determination of a winner.

      Visual Magnetics is not a printing service.
      They manufacture the material and sell in large volume
      The printers are enormous 54" - 72" wide. commercial machines for testing the material and producing commercial ICC profiles and finishes.

      In the meantime, you can go to [url][/url], toward the bottom of the home page on the left are two videos. Watch them... it's very cool stuff, and BRAND NEW to the market.

    You didn't watch closely enough....... :smile:

    The material is perfectly suitable for framing, as with any high quality print.

    You can feel free to treat it as you would any other print created by a high end print house.

    Maybe I didn't understand the video. It looks like it is some sort of magnetic paper, right?

    Does this mean that only images that are 3:2 will be eligible for the first prize? And only 4:3 images for the second prize? :wink:

    It's just print paper with Iron embedded in it so it will stick to a magnet.
