    Hello everybody,
in this period I 'm reading my photography books and I realized that are all books of Great Photographers, Bresson, Salgado and Giacomelli, Gianni Berengo Gardin... i'm from Italy and i love b&w and streets!
All photographers cited are Great photographers but I realized that I know little or nothing about contemporary photographers!
Who can give me some advice?
Who can be considered a worthy heir of these photographers?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english....

For street-type photography, I am a fan of Jay Maisel. He has a couple of color photo books out in print. He sees light, color and gesture (moment) as well as anyone working today.

I like Alex Webb and Jonas Bendiksen, and a few other Magnum photographers. And, of course, Steve McCurry.

Lots of good street photography on this website. Just go to the 'Real Street Thread II' to see what people are shooting.
