I have a Contax G1 with the 28, 45 and 90mm lenses. Does anyone know if these will work with the EPL1? I see a focusing adapter on Amazon for about $80, but the one review it gets is pretty bad. Any alternatives?

FOLLOW THIS THREAD I have been....

I have the adapter which has a ring completely around
the adapter... made sense to me. The idea was good
but the quality of gearing is low so the focus is not
smooth. Now I'm waiting for "monza" model discussed
ay the link......

Hodad is right....wait for Robert Monza's adapter.

People out there....correct me if I am wrong.......I do not think the 28mm will work with this type of adapter.....due to the rear flanges that protrude....just the 35, 45 and 90mm.

The 28 will work if you are ready to trim the protective
tabs back some. i have read that the performance of
the 28 on the m4/3 has issues with edge smearing.

i use the 45 f2 contax g and the 90 2.8 contax g with the ep1 and gf 1 ,
anecdotally i would say they are my 2 sharpest lenses , i use the rj adapter , just OK "it works " sorta with a tiny gear for the finger to spin , but i added a second gear to the edge of my ep1 case which doubles the focusing speed

Oh boy....not as expensive as the lens-workshop adapter I bought a few months back :frown:

I second the vote for monza's adapter:
Contax G – Micro 4/3

It looks to have benefitted from all the criticisms of the previous adapters... I have one on order already. Those Contax G lenses are some of the finest glass ever made for 35mm. Ever. And they work wonders on micro 4/3.
