    Hi folks,

For those of you interested in the Panasonic DMW-GMC1 converter, I ran a couple of tests with this macro converter and compared it to other macro solutions.

    You'll find it here:

I hope it will be of use. Any questions or comments are welcome.

    Hi Zensu,

My pleasure! I see you own that wonderful 60 mm Oly lens. I guess you are very satisfied with it?

Very, very satisfied. I used to shoot the Nikkor 105 VR Micro on my D90 camera and I think the Olympus macro is every bit as good as the Micro Nikkor. I sometimes attach my Canon 500D two element close up diopter to my 43s' 50-200mm SWD to get a greater working distance between my lens and the subject, but of course this is sacrificing the corner performance of this great tele zoom. The Olympus 60mm remains my go to lens for corner to corner sharpness.

+1 for the Canon 500D on good zooms. I kept my 77mm and got a 72mm adapter to use it on the PL100-400 when mine ships. I also use the 58mm on the 75-300mm - for stuff like venomous spider, scorps, and centipedes. Using a slightly larger 500D give you better corner sharpness. Downsized is the cost of the Canon 500D's.
