    Coming Home

On April 16, 2012, the small town of Stephenville, Texas welcomed home the National Guard 111th Engineer Battalion and 176th Engineer Brigade from a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

    Here are a few shots.

    I used a Lumix GF-1 and a G3 with several different lenses.

  2. Fantastic, Rick. Really well captured. The soldier holding his baby is too precious for words.

That appears to be a very receptive crowd in the first photo. Thanks for sharing.

Just a beautiful set Rick - I was looking for more on your website But couldn't find em if they're there. These capture just about every emotion I'd think would be associated with this event for those who's loved ones made it back.

Some great recent work on your site too - you've been holding out on us! Or I've just missed it...

I'm glad I came upon this Rick because they show incredible emotion. Even tho I don't know the people, you have captured them in a way that portrays an emotional connection immediately. These are the pictures that stick around.

Thanks to everyone for their comments.

Ray, these four shots happened to be the ones I worked on first. I may add some more to the series later on.
