Comet Lovejoy - Olympus EPM2/25mm 1.8

    This is comet Lovejoy taken with Olympus EPM2 and 25mm 1.8 lens. Images of 4 second long at ISO 1250 were staked using Regim to reduce noise and is minimally post processed, just cropped and a bit of contrast added to it since the moon was out.

    Great picture!! I must say the name of the comet is up there with Dirk Diggler though :D

    Looks about what I got with my pant 20mm. I couldn't make out a tail with my 8 inch reflector telescope. Very faint tail.

    There could be the biggest sky event ever in Earth's history happening, and we'd be under cloud for the entire time. :(

    Lol Ray. I was afraid I wouldn't get a chance but the clouds parted last night long enough.

    Hi Djarum. Any chance you could share the picture you took with your 20mm? I had the same issue with my 8 inch reflector unfortunately...
