I bought an em-5 this week (yay!) and I noticed that when the camera is first turned on, the monitor's colour temperature changes from a yellow-cast to a blue-cast. It does this each time the camera is turned on, and takes maybe 2 seconds to complete. It's almost like it's "warming up" (or cooling down, actually).

I pulled out my e-pm1 and it does the same thing. Curious as to why this is?

If you have your camera set to auto WB, I believe it is just the camera adjusting the white balance when it is first switched on to find the WB that it believes is ideal for the scene.

My E-M5 does this as well.
