Got in close this morning
PL 14-150 (with the L1) The OVF and AF seems ideal for birds.

These are just OOC jpegs PP in Picasa

Hi John, these are great and thanks of taking the effort to take the pics to share. Until today I still think the L1/10 - 14-150 mm combo does wonders.

What do you like about the images from the L1/14-150?

Ric Hi glad you liked the Pics .. these birds only came recently to the garden and have been using the Ep2 with 14-150.

Not tried using the G1 with 14-150 for now I like the L1 body size for firm grip

However I wanted a clear OVF and quick AF so tried the L1 with the 14-150
and LIKE IT ... dont know why but for overcast light and a little PP on the jpegs (RAW another time) the results are great.

The L1's large body balances the PL 14-150 really well and as you know this lens is sharp, I am hoping for more sun to catch the White of these Cockatoo's

I am also now (Rarely getting King Parrots) and the male is Brilliant RED body green wings .. this will be a challenge, no great shots yet !!!

    Cheers

Ric here is the King Parrot

The Male has the Red body ... need to capture them in the Sun with higher shutter speeds

Thank you for first view of King Parrot

As an owner of an African Gray--parrots always fascinated me.

Thank you for your shot of a King Parrot--that was my first view of such a bird. Beautiful creature. Looking for more shots of that fellow.
