Entry 2

Converted previous entry to BW in camera raw, then used the tint sliders (old split toning) to add a tint. Boosted contrast a little, sharpened more, darkened foreground.

A deceptively simple photo. I particularly like the parallels between the cloud front and the line of mooring posts (taken with the final fouled mooring line.) I wanted to emphasize the moodiness of the scene and the light flooding in from the large gap in the clouds. Done with Adobe Camera Raw utilizing separate, opposing range masks for the sky and surface with a final radial gradient to bring out the open lane of the marina.

Sorry I'm a bit late with the results ....

I've had a great deal of difficulty choosing, as I have enjoyed all the edits!

Joint third is Robert Davidson - I enjoyed the tighter crop and the light; and Brodhall with the foggy black and white conversion.

second is Brodhall as removing the lights cleared that area, and rainbow fitted with the thunder we had for a brief time.

My favourite is RichardC - just something about the light and colour that really appeals to me.

Thank you for participating - it's interesting to see the different takes on an image :)

Over to you RichardC.
