I recently managed to score the 8mm fisheye, refurbed, with the 20% off discount, and it arrived yesterday. I took it out for my first test drive this morning, at a local historic market. from the mezzanine: The West Side Market is a Cleveland Landmark. It was dedicated in this building in 1912, and commerce at the site goes back to well before the building was erected. The 137ft clocktower on the building is immediately recognized by anyone who has lived here. Most Clevelanders have been going here all their lives, for produce, meats, sweets, spices, pasta, and more. While perhaps not very old by world standards, it is a very important part of Cleveland history and culture. It's a great place to sample many of our city's most loved tastes, all under one roof. It's also just a lovely building. I highly recommend anyone that visit's Cleveland, take a trip to the West Side Market! Enough chatter, on to the food!!! Cookies anyone? Colorful Salsa, from mild to WILD Stuffed Peppers. I often empty my wallet here... Bacon wrapped around a variety of items, like this hangar steak we got smoked sausage. yum, just add cabbage marinated chops. buy a tray and toss em on the grill. yum more cured meats sweet, taunting tortes in the center of the floor, I had to stop to appreciate the century old brickwork of the arched ceiling pasta to serve as the medium for your sauce, or to be the star delicious pillowy ravioli oh the gnocchi even more pasta, so many choices cajun bacon blt sounds awesome we got nuts and more I headed over to the produce building next, hoping to see some nice displays of color... ginormous blackberries, yes please scrummy root veggies, love those red onions and giant taters At this point, I had to go pick up my grams from the doctor, so I didn't get to finish walking through the produce. Not bad for a short walk. This was a good test for the fisheye, I think. I'm giving it an A+, since this is my first ever outing with a fisheye.
