A selection of pics taken in Prague this June
I too was there in June. What a beautiful city. And great pictures!
Nice work... was expecting the typical tourist shots of prague with the castle/church/bridge/clock tower (not that theres anything wrong with that)
Well done, and very interesting photos.
That's the challenge each time : try to show from a different, ideally surprising, perspective.
Excellent! Composition and processing, just excellent!!
some excellent shots ... I was there back in April (which I assume was less crowded).
I ask because when I was on the Legion's Bridge photographing the Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle, I saw a fellow u43 user and his family (with an Olympus). I said..."hey... u43." He barely acknowledged me and was probably thinking "obnoxious American!"
I'm just a guy with a camera who takes pictures. However, you see things differently and you're able to create photos. That is a sign of an artist.
In June, yes it was crowded. But, I wanted to catch the sunrise and went out to photograph at 5 AM which was already bright. I think the first light was 4:45 AM.
Streets were deserted. I saw one drunk young man...a couple... and a bunch of wedding photographers. I thought that was odd and chuckled but it makes perfect sense. Aint no one out there and they were able to capture beautiful wedding photos with beautiful Prague streets in the background.
Prague was my favorite city among Rome, Pisa, Florence, Venice, Vienna, and Budapest.
Well I was certainly surprised! And like your eye for unusual compositions.
It was with the EM-10 (and the Pana 12-35 which is to my opinion the key factor here) .
I also have a em1 but for trips I prefer the lighter and smaller em10.
Really wonderful images.
Sorry about the rogue post earlier on, not sure how that happened!
Got married in Prague! and was born in Czech Republic! Love it there. Nazdravi!
