Church of the Stars (E-M10 plus 9-18mm Star Trails)

    We came across this church in our recent travels through Turkey and Greece. It was built in the 18th century, but with recycled stonework from the Byzantine era during a time when Christianity and Paganism were a bit mixed together. The bell tower displays the sun, moon, concentric circles, and most importantly numerous stars. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a better perspective on the church since I was backed up against a large stone wall and I only had my tiny little ultrapod with me.

    Cool shot! How long of an exposure? or was it multiples edited together?

    This was 25 exposures at 60 seconds each (ISO800, f4, 9mm). They were combined in-camera using live comp mode.

    Here is another using 50 exposures at 60 seconds (ISO 1600, f4, 9mm). This was taken from the terrace of our room in the same town as the one above. You can see the headlight trails of cars winding up and down the switchbacks that lead to Kardamili, Greece:
