Love it. They don't have any of this kind of architecture where I'm from.

Nice shots! Love the black & white treatment, which accentuates the texture of the building and the gargoyles.

Just out of curiosity, what are those spots in the sky (especially prominent in the 3rd to last shot)?

Interesting. I went to university in Bournemouth and never went there either. Does that deer really have 3 pairs of eyes and one in the center? It looks a bit demonic... very strange not something I'd expect to see.

P.S. What lens did you shoot the gargoyles with?

    Great shots!

Great shots! Thanks for getting me interested in this amazing structure. I'm going to go look up some more info about it - is there a more specific name I should google? Thanks very much!

Thanks for the interest everyone. It is simply known as the Priory of Christchurch and I think it dates back to the 15th Century. I'll have a look at the weekend because I have got more photographs of the Priory on my computer somewhere. It is a large magnificent building that can be seen for miles around.
I took the gargoyle photo's with the GF1 with the LVF1 attached. Yes that deer does have seven eyes and because it was high up, it was playing tricks on my mind too. I wasn't sure I had it in focus or my camera was producing double images. I used the P7-14 on the Priory and the P100-300 @300 on the gargoyles.

I stared at the image, adjusted the tilt on my macbook air, got up really close to the screen, rubbed my eyes, and then finally decided to double check with the post:biggrin:
