    Taken in an "outback" museum in rural South Australia.
    Can you guess what they are and what they were used for?

    The exposed thread on the first certainly suggests a jack.

    I agree - screw bottle jacks (pre - hydraulic).

    Yep, well they were described as "Cart Jacks".
    Presumably for jacking the likes of this cart:

    Well considering I've seen the Terracotta Warriors in person, I don't. Are you thinking about the other Chinese Warriors, the wee little ones? It doesn't look like those either.
