Has anybody used rather cheap ND filters? I want to experiment with them so I don't want to spend too much money on a set.

Found some on ebay, but they seem a little too cheap.

    ND filters

Any thoughts on going that cheap?

    You know the saying....
"You get what you pay for"....

That being said, a lens is a finely tuned piece of glass...do you really want to put a 10 dollar grind-out on it?

Although it is true you usually get what you pay for, I've found great bargins on old lenses, aftermarket adapter and shutter release. All significantly less than full priced items and they all work just fine.

These aren't going to be a full time filter. It will only be used for long exposures in bright areas(ie. trying to capture water-flow during the day).
