Cheap camera with viewfinder for beginner - Worldwide

    Location
    EU

    Description
Hello. A friend wants to try micro four thirds. He comes from a P&S and doesn't want to spend much, so we are looking for a very cheap camera with or without lens.
Best if it comes with viewfinder, articulated screen and flash.
It's not important the external condition but it should work properly.
    Open to offers from worldwide.
    Thank you.

Not sure what you consider cheap, but it looks like you can pick up G1s on ebay for $100 - $150. Great camera that provides what you are looking for.

Yes, we are looking at that price and the deals on ebay, but wanted to ask if any forum member was thinking about selling one.
G1, G10 and G2 were the first models I suggested, also the grip is better for his hands. He's open to other brands too, but with micro 4/3 he can use my lenses.
    Thanks!

I would avoid the G10. It has a lower resolution viewfinder. The G1 and G2 share the same viewfinder and are excellent cameras. They have more physical controls than any of the newer G series.

I would have Offered to sell cheep one of my Panasonic G1 bodies with the original box and paperwork + accessories but I live in the US and shipping would make the purchase pointless for you .. Look for a Used G1 near you .. they are real cheep and a great camera to still use. If you need Video you can try a G2 but for the money the G1s are a great value right now.

There was a lot of G3s in the UK, as they were sold in a store like Tesco a year ago for a low amount. Also, plenty of offers for cheap e-pm2 (new or used).

    sent from my Xperia Z

    Thanks a lot to all.
Fred, I'll take your advise, no g10, my friend's vision will appreciate it.
Sboschi, really beautiful camera! Please, send me more details through private message if you want.
Thanks RDM, and the euro is too bad now against the dolar, so not good for us.
Ramsey, the issue about the G3 is that perhaps's it too small for his hands. He didn't find my epm2 very comfortable. He is becoming very picky... I guess he just wants me to buy a em1 and then borrow it.

I would still look for a used G1 in your area then give it to him It big enough for most hands too.. Well worth it IMHO

hehe, no, we are at warmer latitudes.

Well I made the assumption that you are not in America based on what you said, and Yes your English is pretty good so I assumed you might be in the UK.

    What country are you in?

I could sell you my Panasonic G3 for 150 Euros plus the price of the postage.
I can throw in a free version of Lightroom that I got with the panasonic offer (I don't use it as I have the latest Lightroom).

I'm also looking at selling off my M43 kit, so I can also sell some lenses.
