I loaned my G1/14-45 combo to my brother for a couple of weeks. He's planning a trip to Europe in the fall and was thinking of stepping up from his small but talented camera. He's an SLR veteran so he knows how to make images without electronic aid - but he just loves the G1's imaging skills, and finds iA to be a boon when 'set & forget' shots are called for. He'll be seeking a newer model for at least some video capability, but he's in the market! :2thumbs:

The G1 is an infectious camera to hand to a dslr user.

My GF1 arrived yesterday !! I am exclusively canon at this point, but have been lusting from afar at M43 as a potential replacement for my G11.

So I'll be road-testing it extensively this weekend, but I'm keeping both until I'm sure the GF1 is the right choice.

Anybody else here made the move from Canon G-series ?? (or vice versa?)

Love to hear everybodies thoughts !!
