2013 CES Las Vegas starts Jan. 7. I received an email invitation from Panasonic promising "newest products and ground breaking technology". It is open to everyone, just go to Panasonic North America - Electronics for your home and business for details. If any one is going in person, hands on reports are due by Jan. 10.

I'm headed to Vegas for CES. Panny always has one of the biggest booths, but they have so many things to show...batteries, solar tech, electric cars (Tesla!), home appliances, cameras, etc. Hard to believe they can be so diverse.

So are any micro four thirds related stuff expected to be unveiled at CES 2013? Maybe some new lenses? :)

I watched a few videos from the show, but, didn't see a whole lot new with regard to m43. There were intro(?) videos for the G5 and GH3 including a lengthy GH3 video w/ Ira Bloch. The most interesting item(s) were new point and shoot cameras with wi-fi allowing tethering and control of the camera with a smart phone, tablet, or pc. The models are SZ5 and SZ9 there may be others. But, the wi-fi control seems most interesting and hopefully will be incorporated into new m43 models.

Panny booth had a really good display of the cameras, with about 4 GH3s with the 14-140, 12-35, and 35-100.

    Will upload some pics later.

They even had Oly lenses on display in the Panny booth.

Here's some quick photos of the Panny booth.

Got to try the GH3, which feels nice, except the switchgear don't all feel as robust as they should for a camera of this price.

The 12-35 and 35-100 lenses are nice, but also not sure if the build quality is as good as it should be for this price. (My 14-54 II feels more expensive, with a nicer damped zoom ring, etc)
