I was out in California for a week on business, and while I unfortunately was working almost the entire time, I did get a few short windows to take some photos. Here's a selection:

    Morro Bay:

    California Highway 1:
    DMC-GH2    ---    14mm    f/5.6    1/800s    ISO 160

Big Sur area (though not at the town...):

    San Simeon:

    Random other shots:

    DMC-GH2    ---    8mm    f/5.6    1/1000s    ISO 160

Love the BW's, especially #5 and #10. You have a nice eye.

Very nice set. I particularly like the first B&W of Highway 1, the ultra-wide shot of Big Sur (assuming a fisheye?), and the gulls. Great stuff...

Nice Jman ... gotta love Morro Rock. The Central Coast is a bit out of the way for business.

    Thanks, everyone!

Gary - I was doing work at Vandenberg AFB. I'm an electrical engineer and we're doing energy assessments and transformer evaluation on a whole bunch of facilities.

Ray - not a fisheye on the panorama (though I did have my fisheye with me). That's a 5 shot stitch with my 7-14 @ 7mm...it's about a 180-200 degree horizontal FOV.

Nice shots in such a short time frame. Yes, living on the central coast has its benefits. (Although there are great images everywhere!)

Jordon, I always enjoy your images. That flock of seagulls shot reminded me of Hitchcock's "The Birds".

Really enjoyable set. I really like the two mono Highway images with the second taking "first place" for me.

Really great shots and everytime I see shots of the Caliifornia coast it brings back the amazing memories of my trip to the West Coast last year.

Your highway shot I remember that part of the road so well. I kept stopping to get a shot or 2 and the Mrs was getting a bit annoyed as it put on a few hours to our Journey, but ooooh so worth it
