This lens is a later design than the CZJ 35 f2.8 lens. This is a M42 version, very close focusing.

Nice pictures, especially #3. I'd love this lens, but damn it's expensive!

This CZJ Flektogon was free, a friend gave it to me with his old Spotmatic. Glad I did not have to buy it, they have been going up in price.

I have one of these lenses from the time I used a Canon EOS 5D with a selection of Carl Zeiss glass, mainly in Contax mount. I was keeping it until prices peaked then I intended to sell it on.

I did not use the Jena Flektogon 35mm f/2.4 often because I preferred a Carl Zeiss Distagon 35mm f/1.4 on the 5D, so the Flektogon stayed in storage. Along with the 5D, the Distagon has long gone together with its Carl Zeiss 50mm f/1.7 and 85mm f/1.4 cousins, all truly lovely lenses.

But your fine results with the Flektogon have made me reconsider, and I have today ordered an M42 to m4/3 adapter. Thank you!

Ivy_flektogon. A few recent shots - the close focus on this lens is amazing, and it's decently sharp wide open. Not cheap for an 80's East German lens, but probably the best 35mm I've used:
