    Hi folks,
just want you to see some photos I took of the baby elephants at the Melbourne Zoo recently. We just happened to walk past as they entered the pool area in the Elephant enclosure. I shot these and many more images on my G1 with my favourite lens - the Panasonic 45-200mm lens. I just love that lens, it tends to be on the G1 most of the time. On my GF-1 I leave the 20mm lens which is also a favourite.
Please enjoy these pics, and feel free to comment.
    Cheers DUD:smile:

Yes, Bill. I thought the highlights were getting a bit "washed out" on some of them!

I have used that exact set-up for a long time. The 45-200 is the best value lens in m4/3 land IMHO. The last one is my fave, but they're all great. I love elephants....babies doubly so.

I was thinking about getting the 14-140 lens as an all in one lens to replace my 14-45, but its an expensive lens even s/h and the 45-200 can be bought right now at great prices, what do you guys think?

Obviously the focal length is huge with the 45-200, the shots look great to me and the lens is slightly better at 5.6 with a deeper zoom right? I am guessing its also Japan made?

Is the 14-140 worth the double price or merely convenience?

Well, I haven't had time to commit to OCD testing.....
....but I run a GH2 with the 14-140 as my ready kit. I've been punking around with Extended Tele piggybacked on X2 magnification. Output is 8MP Jpeg. So far, I've not been terribly displeased. Looks so far to have better performance than cropping from a 16MP shot on a similar Jpeg setting OOC.
Too early to tell if I'll rely on this for long. Haven't been able to figure the net effect of Extended mode (as a matter of magnification rating). I saw something a while back, but have forgotten the numbers. Haven't found it in the manual.
No time, really. Work and family. I don't even light off the PC. All of my poking around with the images has been on the Ipad.
