Looks great. Just wondering, what counts as a 'deal' on this lens these days, if you don't mind the question?

haha, i should say a deal in comparison to what the rest of the f 1.2 lenses and this actual one itself has been selling for typically, they have been going for around $300-350... I got this one for $190 shipped

  5. I'd be interested to see how the FL version performs. The non-aspherical FD S.S.C. is a great lens, if a bit of a tank. Very sharp stopped down, and nicely dreamy wide open. I won't say how much it cost

I did a few days of reading on it before I went for it, reviews on it sounds as if it did very well. Hoping it will be as good as it sounded, will make sure to get images up asap

  8. Thanks, both were taken @ f/1.2

It's a bit big so I've not actually taken mine out of the house so far.

this one dwarfs the oly 50mm 1.8, it's as tall as my panasonic 14-45mm and wide as the panasonic 45-200mm

added sample pictures to the original post!

  11. It's interesting that the FL lens has typically wild bokeh at f/1.2 whereas the FD version is quite civilised in comparison.

I do wish that the bokeh highlights are more buttery, but when shot with a background that doesn't have blown out highlights it is pretty smooth
