I own this Canon legacy lens and on my old e-pl2 was very nice.
Now, about to get a e-m5, I am considering to buy a 45mm 1.8 too.
But wondering how it compares to the Canon 50mm. Does it make sense to keep both those similar focal lenses?
Anyone has both so that che do a test?

Don't even think twice about buying the 45 -- just do it. With my EPL1, my 20/1.7 was my favorite lens and rarely came off the camera. When I bought my EM5, I got the 45 as well and it is now easily my favorite. Your Canon won't give you AF, which is a huge disadvantage if you are trying to capture something quickly, and I don't know for sure but I'm guessing the 45 will have better image quality as well.
